Our Services
In-Home Support
Often, the best way for you and your family to receive the support you need is for CPES to bring our services to you. With our in-home support, you and your family can receive the CPES services you need most in the comfort of your own home.
In-Home Services available through CPES are:
- RESPITE
Need a break? This service offers the primary caregiver (s) someone who can provide short-term care and supervision for the person served. Under this service, CPES staff can:
»Provide supervision of the individual for an agreed upon time
»Provide for the social, emotional, and physical needs of the individual during the stay
»Ensure that the individual receives medication as it’s prescribed (Note: this does not mean that medication is administered, but rather that it is received).
»Ensure provision of food to meet dietary needs, including a therapeutic diet if prescribed
»Carry out the Individual Support Plan goals and objectives during the stay
As with all our services, staff are expected to provide documentation of their activities with each visit. This documentation needs to be signed off on by the parent/guardian.
- ATTENDANT CARE

- HABILITATION
This service focuses on teaching and developing skills in a variety of areas with the individual via activities where the skills are demonstrated. Various skills that fall under the Habilitation umbrella are:
»use of community
»social situations and behavior
»Personal/Hygiene care
»Communication
»Academic
»Home-based living
Our staff will implement and document the progress of each agreed upon goal as they have been set forth in the Individual Support Plan. Over the time, our goal is to decrease our level of support provided wherein the individual is able to competently demonstrate the skill on their own. As this happens, our staff can move to the next skill needed to help the individual succeed in finding a satisfying and functional life for him/herself. Documentation needs to be signed off on by the parent/guardian.
To request in-home support services, contact the CPES office nearest you. Upon receiving your request, CPES professional staff will meet with you and your family to help create an individualized plan of service based on your unique needs.
