Child/Adult Developmental Homes

PROGRAM MISSION:

To Provide Quality support to resource families and children/adults in developmental homes, and to facilitate the timely, supportive and informative licensure and/or certifications of resource families.

PROGRAM VISION:

We envision a wealth of available resource families that have been properly educated to make important decisions which will impact their lives, and the lives of the children and/or adults that they may care for, and whom feel supported and assisted throughout the licensure/certification process.

Developmental Homes are needed for:

  • Children (ages Birth to 17)
  • Adults (ages 18+)

BECOME AN ADH PROVIDER AND HELP SOMEONE IN NEED...

ADH's (Adult Developmental Homes) providers are individuals who open their home to adults with developmental disabilities (much like foster care parents do with children). These providers work in conjunction with the Arizona Department of Economic Security's Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and devoted parents to find and place an adult with a developmental disability into a private home with caring and compassionate homeowners. Together this team of individuals ensures that this adult is receiving the specialized care he or she needs. While the needs of these individuals can change, placements tend to be of a longer term because there is the need for a permanent setting.

There are two facets to our program. The first is our CDH program which provides a developmental home for children, ages birth to 17. The other half is our ADH program which places adults, age 18 and older. These adults are diagnosed with a developmental disability such as, but not limited to: mental retardation, cerebral palsy, autism and epilepsy. An ADH can provide support for up to 2-3 adults with developmental disabilities, depending on the district.

If you or someone you know are interested in learning more about how to become an ADH provider, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
