Agency provides disability claim service for SSI and/or Disability Insurance benefit applicants for low income persons, free legal representation for limited SSI applicants, community education service to understand disability application process and referral process to the Agency, and Representative Payee service (fiduciary service) for managing benefits to insure basic needs are addressed for person's survival. They also provide Overpayment Clinics for Social Security recipients. Spanish speaking staff are available. Services are provided free of charge with the exception of Representative Payee whose rate is established by the Social Security Administration.

AHCCCS provides individuals meeting income eligibility requirements with health care services. EPSDT is a comprehensive children's health care program which includes well child screening diagnosis and treatment. The purpose of the program is to promote health, prevent illness, and treat health conditions, accomplished through early intervention, to children birth through age 20. Children with disabilities in lower-income families may be eligible to receive SSI payments. Families should apply at Social Security Administration (SSA) offices. A child under age 18 can establish disability under the Social Security Administration's regulations if the child has a medically determinable impairment which results in marked and severe functional limitations and which can be expected to result in death or which has lasted or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months. Families can assist the application process by gathering medical and educational information to support the application.
